OM NOM NOM NOM Singapore Food Festival

Singapore Food Festival took place from July 15th until the 24th. The highlight of the festival was the record-breaking 160-meter-long food table, setting the Guinness World Record for the longest table. This table was filled with 60 dishes from Singapore’s top 20 Indian restaurants including Gayatri, Jaggi’s North Indian Cuisine and The Banana Leaf Apolo Restaurant—appropriately for the theme of the festival, curry and spices. The dishes ranged from freshly-made thosai, an Indian crispy pancake, to stews, tandoori prawns, chicken masala and fish head curry.
Attractions other than the world’s longest table during the festival also held the visitors’ attention: a 60-stall food village at Clarke Quay and a 45-minute bumboat ride along the Singapore Riverare only a couple of them.
The festival also celebrated its 18th anniversary of being fully supported by Singapore Tourism Board in a partnership with the Indian Restaurant Association of Singapore and the Restaurant Association of Singapore.
